Wedding Photography involves a large amount of time in pre and especially post production.Most album images recieve expert attention in photoshop to bring out what I saw in the scene before I made the photo.
The price varies not on the number of photographs made, but on the time spent during the wedding and the number of photographs produced into final album form. The packages below have evolved from client requirements over the last 10 years. If your requirements are not met exactly from these packages,or indeed if you don't require a final album presentation, please call me to discuss the options.

I prefer to work as close to a pure photojournalistic style as possible. This means capturing moments as they happen as with minimal intrusion by the photographer. There is however a reasonable amount of input required from the subjects as well as the photographer to achieve a natural feeling result without crossing the boundary into overly posed images.

Coverage and preview package:

Starting at the brides home, 1hour before the ceremony to capture the last minute details, portraits of the bride and bridesmaids and family photos.
The ceremony is captured using as much available light as possible, followed by the traditional family and friends photos while everyone is gathered in one place.
The photo tour can be 2 or 3 locations of different styles, the aim is to go places that mean something to you and have a relaxed and enjoyable time. Better to do a few things well than rush through too much and not achieve the right result, or the right mood for the day.
Back to the reception for photos of the room, speeches and cake cutting (if cut before the meal).
The coverage can be extended to start earlier pre ceremony, or later in the evening giving the option of coverage through dinner to the first dance. $150 per hour each option

You will recieve a preview disc of watermarked jpg images suitable for viewing on a computer or a dvd player. If you are having the full resolution cd option that can be ready at the same time. High resolution images are very slow on a dvd player so you may need to use the low res disc. There are options available for a set of prints or a set of index sheets if you wish.

Album Options - Includes photography coverage as above

Salon :$1990 Coverage from the brides final preparations at home to the mock cutting of the cake. Typically 5 hours coverage. This album is a 235mm square page using a magazine style layout with a classic single matte overlay and your choice of cover finish. Approximately 50 individually enhanced images will be incorporated into 18 pages. Parent albums, (140mm) 1 for $300 2 or more at $250 each

Folio : $2190. Coverage of 6 hours is included which can give time to include the groom and his crew having a last single mans lunch before I get to the bride, through to some speeches and cake cutting. The wider 320mm pages give this album more opportunity to display sequences of events and panorama photos. Typically 70 photos are used, however as all albums are custom made more can easily be incorporated.(poa) Cover is shown with an optional cover wrap image.
Parent albums 1 for $350 2 or more at $300 ea

Gallery : $2990. My largest page style, this album uses a combination of traditional individually matted photographs and contemporary montage pages. The pages are linen hinged with metal corners and custom cut double matted overlay pages. The cover is typically made in leather with a cameo insert. 18 pages and approx 60 images. Parent album $595 ea

Magazine:$3490 18 pages at 350mm x 250mm with a buckram linen cover with cameo insert. All pages are montage style with Kodak professional photographic paper surface mounted by a custom bookbinder. Parent album 1 for $395 2 or more $350ea.

Parent Albums are a reduced size version of the main album, if you prepay for the parent album you will receive your choice of 20x30cm enlargement for free.

Preview Options. All packages come with a low resolution watermarked cd.

20x25cm index sheets. $95 These images are sharp,numbered mini prints approx 50mm x 35mm. printed on photographic paper and presented in a flipfile.

Mini Prints. $125 printed 4 on a 13x18cm photograph with the number underneath, this gives a bigger image than the index sheets and some find them easier to sort through.

A full set of prints is most effectively done by yourselves by purchasing the full resolution cd and having a competent lab make a full set on traditional photographic paper. Be wary of the superfast machines and ink technology.The quality and durability varies greatly.

The Techy geeky stuff.  I use the latest professional series D3 Nikon High resolution digital camera, photos can be taken in very low light, ideal for less obtrusive images in a church.
I carry a complete backup set of camera, lens and flash equipment.Lenses used range from full frame fisheye type wide angle (12mm) through to 200mm image stabilised zooms.
I have macro gear that can get down to just about the stone alone in the engagement ring.

I also have a portable studio set up so If you have your heart set on getting married in a windowless cave or wine cellar (yes there are a few around) I can light that up too.

But in photography, like in all things important, it aint the size of the tool its how its used... and please discourage all camera toting relatives from feeling that they must discuss the relative merits of their camera vs mine!

As the very clever black and white photo on the contact me page doesn't show, I have been doing this long enough to have grey hair showing through.... Experience and a sound grounding in photographic techniques go a long way toward being able to cope with whatever the day throws at you. I Enjoy a good wedding and the quest for the perfect photo keeps me keen.

The album prints are made on Kodak long life professional paper on a large format sheet printer that my computer is calibrated to be colour matched with. They say they wont fade for 200 years in an album, feel free to come back and complain if this is not the case!
